The Cyber Programme of the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) offers a series of Professional Military Education (PME) short courses on various topics in Cyber Security. These courses are offered to members of the Canadian Armed Forces, the Department of National Defence and other government departments. All participants become enrolled in the non-credit granting Professional Certificate in Cyber Security Foundations programme.
There is no tuition for these courses, but participants or their units are responsible for arranging and defraying the costs of travel, meals and accommodations. Enrollment in these course is often over-subscribed and the RMC Cyber Programme prioritized enrollment based on the operational needs of its partners.
Please contact the Adminsitration Officer of the Cyber Training Unit (CTU), Mrs. Raja Abaab (raja.abaab@rmc.ca) for general questions, to be included on our mailing list or to send in course nominations.
Cyber Security Professional Military Education (PME) Program
A new Cyber Security Foundations Program (CSFP) has been established which encompasses all Cyber PME courses shown in Table 1. A CSFP Pilot began in September 2024 running through the spring of 2025. The CSFP is the RMC Cyber Program's PME main effort and enrollment in courses will be limited for other students. It may be possible for student to attend individual PME courses listed below during that period. A call for submission will be sent out 6 to 8 weeks prior to the start day if spots are available for any of these courses. See table 1 for details.
Two courses will be offered virtually or in the National Capital Region (NCR), see table 2 for details.
