Issouf Kafando, who earned his PhD in physics from Université Laval (Québec), is an astrophysicist. He specializes in evolved intermediate-mass stars. In his research work, Issouf Kafando analyzes chemical abundances, measures the vertical stratification of chemical elements, computes synthetic spectra, determines fundamental parameters, and searches for the presence of magnetic fields in the atmospheres of these stars.
