Commissioning Parade

General Officers and Flag Officers will present commission scripts to naval and officer cadets during the Commissioning Parade, which is the formal presentation of a CAF commission script in the name of His Majesty. Upon completion of the parade, the graduates will march through the Memorial Arch, signifying the conclusion of their time under the Regular Officer Training Plan at RMC.

Friday, May 16, 2025 from 10 a.m. to noon on the parade square, 15 Valour Dr.

Vehicular Restrictions: All assigned reserved staff parking is suspended and staff are to park in the Sawyer Parking Lot from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 16. Parking is not allowed along Valour Dr.

Note: Violators will be ticketed and/or towed at their cost.

Dress: CAF members: DEU 1A, N/OCdts: Scarlets and #4, DND Employees: Appropriate Attire.

Please note: There will be many professional photographers on the parade square who have been hired by our NCdts/OCdts. DND/CAF camera operators and photographers including those from the media are asked to keep reasonable safe distance around the cadets on the parade square. The public is asked to remain outside of the perimeter marked by the red and white stripes. This is to ensure everyone’s safety and that there is no interruption to the ceremony. 

In case of inclement weather, the parade will take place indoors at the Kingston Military Community Sports Centre’s Anderson Field House.

Members of the news media are asked to contact the RMC Public Affairs Officer the day before to make arrangements for parking and to arrive with photo identification at the Southwest corner of the Currie Building at 10 a.m.
