Your support enables the RMC Museum to maintain its collections and share them with visitors and researchers from around the world each year.
There are many ways to show your support:
Monetary Donations
Thank you for considering donating to the RMC Museum. Every contribution helps to make a difference. Whether you’re interested in setting up a legacy gift or would just like to make a one-time donation, the museum offers many options to show your support. Please contact the RMC Foundation or the Museum Curator to discuss these options.
Become a Volunteer
There are many ways to contribute to the Museum as a volunteer. Volunteering provides opportunities to interact with the public, work with RMC Museum staff and develop an interest in Canadian military history by volunteering as a tour guide, researcher or collections technician. If you would like to learn more about becoming a volunteer please contact the Museum Curator.
Artefact Donation
The RMC Museum greatly appreciates all offers from potential donors. We depend on the generosity of the public to provide the museum with artefacts to create and update our exhibits.
If you wish to make a donation please contact the Museum Curator. Donations are only accepted unconditionally which means that the donor may not place restrictions upon use or display of an item or request that the item be returned. It’s also important to remember that artefacts acquired by the RMC Museum become the property of the Royal Military College.
We can make the best use of an artefact when we know as much as possible about its history. For example, if you are donating a First World War uniform we would like to know who wore it and when, if the person was involved in any major campaigns, or anything else that may be known. A donor probably cannot give us too much information!
Please remember that if the museum staff must turn down your offer of a donation, it is done only with the greatest reluctance. We appreciate the generosity of all those who wish to make a donation.
