The succesful completion of the First Year Orientation Period (FYOP) is recognized as the first significant milestone of first-year naval and officer cadets (N/OCdts) at a military university.
The RMC Badging Weekend will celebrate the formal joining of first-year cadets to the Cadet Wing in the presence of ex-cadets, families, friends and community members. Alumni participating in the RMCAA’s Reunion Weekend at the same time will celebrate the history and traditions of the College with the Memorial Arch Parade.
These activities directly support the strategic priority of military personnel generation efforts to grow the CAF, and deliver the requisite military training, so that our newest future officers may begin the journey towards reaching their respective operational functional points and begin their careers in earnest.
RMC’s core activity is the Regular Officer Training Plan, which is a vitally important program intended to be challenging, both physically and mentally, where emphasis is placed on teamwork, self-discipline, self-motivation, and adherence to an ethics and value system that is essential to the profession of arms.
